Ciudadanos withdraws its offer and Podemos

Ciudadanos has withdrawn its offer of abstention and Podemos continues to reach out to a coalition government. The possibility of going to elections on November 10 increases. He is just a few hours away from meeting with King Felipe VI within the framework of the round of consultations with the heads of the parliamentary groups. The monarch's decision will soon be known: whether he will once again commission Sánchez to form a Government or we will go straight to new elections.

Albert Rivera, leader of Ciudadanos, has taken less than 24 hours to withdraw the offer he made to Sánchez. Rivera dropped the bomb on Monday: a technical abstention in exchange for a guarantee that taxes will not be raised in the legislature, that there will be a constitutionalist government in Navarra and that order will be preserved in Catalonia. Iglesias recalled, before Cs withdrew his abstention proposal, that Sánchez had two offers on the table: one from the left, to form a Government with shared responsibilities with Unidas Podemos; and another from the right. Podemos also reserved the right to change the meaning of its vote - for now, abstention - to a negative one in the event that an abstention from PP and Ciudadanos were successful - which is no longer going to happen - so the situation would be identical.
