Moving to America for a few months was my need to meet other photographers more capable than myself and to celebrate my transition from law to photography. Of course I was under no illusion that a few months of seminars would make me wiser. Very quickly my teaching activity took on avalanche proportions. From to I taught simultaneously or consecutively at the University of La Verne at the Moraitis School at the Athens College in student and adult sections at the American Base of Nea Makris at at the photographic Focus school while at the same time plowing Greece delivering seminars on behalf of the Ministry of Culture to photographers trainers of Popular Education.
But I realized that in this way I was in danger of falsifying the e-commerce photo editing great joy I felt as a teacher firstly because of the multitude of goals and secondly because it was very important for me that my students choose me and not impose on them from above. And this kind of thing only happened in my photography department. I therefore decided to devote myself exclusively to it from then on. The basic course that I have today is entitled Introduction to Artistic Photography and includes technical instruction about one third of the total time and artistic instruction history and aesthetics of photography as well as criticism of the participants' work.
This seminar lasts throughout the winter every Wednesday evening from November to June and is held in collaboration with the Benaki Museum at Koumpari Street. This is followed by a second more advanced seminar which takes place in the first ten days of July in Syros my place of residence here and nine years with daily photography and criticism content. A third seminar for even more advanced students takes place over a full three days in Syros every September with the aim of criticizing organizing and presenting a photographer's entire body of work.
